Portraiture

Drawing portraits involves assembling all the senses of the human body, to be able to feel what the image was feeling the moment the picture was taken. It is about our feelings towards the person we are drawing as we observe their facial features and sense their mood, comparing them with ours. Trying to feel and get into the mood of what the person is feeling, helps us to experience for a moment the life force of the person we are drawing and hence, attempt to represent this force. This helps not only to get the image right but also get the mood of the image right.
